FAQ
Will these videos play on my prospective donors' computers?
Yes. The Planned Gift Prospector video messages are created with Adobe® Flash®. As of March 2008, Flash Player 8 is present on 98.5 percent of all computers in the United States and Canada—more than any other video player.
Why are the videos written to CDs rather than DVDs?
A response form appears at the end of the presentation, so if your planned giving prospects view the message via a computer, they can easily respond via the Internet with a couple of clicks of the mouse. DVD viewers don’t have this option.
Does a computer need to be connected to the Internet for the message to play?
No. Part of Planned Gift Prospector's uniqueness is in the discreet way it sends alerts. Although the packaging directs your prospects to place the CD into an Internet-connected computer, the video narrative will seamlessly play whether or not there is an Internet connection.
Is this tracking software?
No. The technology used for Planned Gift Prospector is not tracking software. There is nothing downloaded or left on the computer. The unique coding of each disk simply sends alerts the same way an e-mail campaign tracks an open rate. There is no legal or privacy violation in the use of this technology.
